PAKISTAN’S KING OF TENNIS COURT GRAND SLAM JOURNEY

There was a time when everyone wanted to be Imran Khan, Waqar Younis or Waseem Akram but he chose to become a tennis player. He is Pakistan’s only tennis icon who won international recognition with his wins against tennis players in grand slam. Yes he is the "King of Tennis Court" for Pakistan. He started playing tennis at the age of 14. His first coach was his maternal grandfather - he was All-British India champion. His mother is a real inspiration for him, she was also a women's tennis champion. He is right handed player.
He appeared (Singles and Doubles);
7 times in Australian Open
9 times in US Open
11 times in Wimbledon
9 times in French Open

YEARLY PERFORMANCE;

He believes that he can win a Grand Slam and achieve the world number one doubles ranking.
“Winning a Grand Slam is definitely right there at the top of the ladder. I feel I am capable of doing it.’’
He has become better over the time and his experience will definitely help him to achieve his goal of winning a Grand Slam. Although, he is the first Pakistani to reach the finals of Grand Slam. His success is promoting tennis in Pakistan and he has become a role model for the youth of Pakistan.
He is the most successful tennis player from Pakistan.

Despite of his game, he is active socially too and won several awards.
Aisam-ul-Haq teamed with Israeli player Amir Hadad back in 2002. They won the award of "Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year" for playing together.
He is also a member of club "Champions for Peace" along with 54 athletes. Their aim is to spread peace through sport.
He also created a campaign with slogan "Stop War Start Tennis" with Rohan Bopanna. They also plan to play a match at the border.
He was appointed as ambassador in United Nations Development Program.
Due to his dressing and stylish persona, he was awarded "Lux Style Award" for most stylish sportsperson in 2011. He is one of the athletes-turned-fashion because of his appearances on red carpets and ramps. He has also modelled for his sister’s brand recently.
