Day-2: A miserable tale for Pakistan
Second consecutive hard day at office for Pakistan. Things haven’t looked too bright all day and stumps have just seen Pakistan in major mess again. They are 57-4 and trailer by bas zayda ni yehi koi panj so bati runs! Not to mention, it was placid day for Pakistani fans too. Let’s recap the top 5 moments from Day 2 at OT, Manchester.
5- Joe Root's Sluggish approach to 200:
OK, it was a fantastic effort and all that. But it was beyond the limits of boredom for most of Pakistani fans. Enjoyed as they might have the glorious cover drives, there came a period when it seemed Root wanted Pakistan to take a wicket out of boredom. From 190 to 200, he took 36 balls by himself to cross 200 mark, not to mention the balls played by Ben Stokes in process. Yar bna ly Bhai? Phir humain batting dedo…was most of Pakistani fans reaction at that moment. Well he got there eventually and the contest that was just building between him and Yasir shah as to who will score 200 first got snubbed. *Finest yawns that I ever produced*
4- More Shelling :
Catches win matches. That is not one bit important if you are a Pakistani slip fielder. Stats should be made as to who is better at Shelling, Israelis in Palestine or Pakistanis in Cricket. Close match, isn’t it? But I think Pakistan will loose this in front of those scoundrels. Khair, makhan,desi ghee aur tail laga ho hatho ko to phir yehi hota hy. 3- Masood Shatters Stumps -- of Non striker 😀
History needed records so Pakistanis were born. Cricket needed Shan masood so Shan masood was born. Simply simple, no shit. Nai matbaaal larka cha ni gya? Bowls a classical delivery to get rid of non striker with his leg. Unfortunately as it turned out, it was a No ball. Hay na phir ICC= BCCI= KFC?
2- Hafeez – Walking Wicket that’s so Lazeez :
Another outing, another disappointment. It’s just not working for Professor. Survived Anderson, survived Broad and then gets out to Chris Akram Walsh Woakes. *swoons* When are we going to see the old elegant professor who made legends like Bazid Khan say :

I was just thinking what would be last point and ye gya ghareebo ka Ricky ponting aka Azhar Ali. Seriously? Woakes? What are Pakistani batsmen thinking about? Too many wickets to a guy who is not even clicking fearsome pace. He scored a 50 as well today and looks like a fine all rounder. But all the same, one can’t help feeling that while England have negated Shah brilliantly, Pakistan are yet to cast away the cobwebs of last game from their minds. 3-18 His figures right now.
