If there ever would be a book on Pakistan cricket... This should be the title... "The song of ICE & FIRE".....
It starts from the very first day. The babies of cricket in 1952 had the calmness of Abdul Hafeez kardar sahib and the swag of a certain Fazal Mehmood.. Walk down the history lane right till today to find the trend intact.. From Misbah's divinity, Azhar Ali's calmness, YK's smile to Wahab's fire, Yasir's poise & Amir's passion....
If Misbah's reverse sweep brought smile on our faces, Yasir Shah's wrist magic made us dance.. If Asad's nonchalant flick through the square leg was satisfying, Amir's spitting cobra like outswingers were joyous and romantic.. And this romance will never end...
Pakistan sits in a rather comfortable position on Stumps day 2... Day 3 wil pretty much decide the fate of this test match.. Pakistan ideally needs to get rid of the English tail as cheaply as possible and then look to set a target of around 350 to knock England out of it.. But remember this is test cricket... You can have good 4 days and one bad session will cost you the game.. So while we celeberate the first two days we must not forget that there is still a lot of work that needs to get done.......
